The decorative inspirations of Scotland

During my studies, I was able to go to Scotland for a year to study. This allowed me to discover a culture, customs and trends in terms of clothing but also in terms of decoration. Here is a list of what comes to us from Scotland in terms of interior design. Inspirations from the Highlands  How can we talk about Scottish decoration without mentioning the Tartan, that squared pattern so distinctive of the country, originally present on kilts, it is now exported for decoration. But not only! This region of the Highlands with its rugged mountain scenery, moorland fields and rugged coastlines inspires. What will this bring to the decoration? Natural materials such as sheep, comfortable plaids, grid patterns and a masculine, rustic atmosphere. - The colours  To adopt the Highlands style you should opt for earthy colours with autumn tones such as brown, ochre, rust, red and green, they promote a warm atmosphere in the house. - The materials  For the rustic touch, ...

The decoration trend 2020

What's your interior going to look like this year?  Answers in pictures and deciphering the 2020 deco trends to follow, or not! A bit of velvet here and there, cane there, funny faces, ceramics, tiles on the linen, you name it, and the best ones... When certain decorating trends are confirmed, others are on the rise or are making a strong comeback in 2020. Spotted and deciphered by me, they will soon hold no more secrets for you! Canning is definitely ageless: This very old weaving technique is back.
